At Blowing Smoke Barbecue, we’re more than just pitmasters — we’re a husband and wife team, Erica and Brian, united by our Southern roots and a deep love for cooking. With family ties to Memphis and Mississippi, barbecue runs in our blood. We’ve blended that rich heritage with bold influences from Texas and Kansas City to bring championship-style barbecue to Chicago.
We launched in 2017, quickly gaining a following through our presence at over 20 festivals a year, serving up slow-smoked meats and soulful sides to hungry crowds across the Midwest. When the COVID-19 pandemic forced us to pause, we took time to regroup—but our passion never left the pit. Today, we’re back and fired up, delivering the same mouthwatering flavors that made us a fan favorite from the start.
